Natural Acne Scars Remedies.

Acne is one of those things that everybody seems to get at one point or another, and yet nobody really likes it. While some cases are mild, other cases are quite severe and can lead to visible scarring. So, not only do these people have to suffer through a bad outbreak of acne, they then have to live with the scars for the rest of their lives. Or do they? The answer to that is no they don't, or at least they can try any number of acne scars remedies that will minimize the scars that are there. Not all of these treatments will work the same on everybody, but they are worth trying if it means you can feel better about yourself.

One of the best known remedies for acne scars is citrus juice. You can apply the juice of a lemon or lime directly to the problem areas. However, some people find that pure citrus juice irritates their skin, so you may want to try different dilutions until you find the one that's best for you. Apply it once or twice a day for several weeks and see how much lighter your scars look. It can take quite a while, but if it just doesn't seem to be working for you, then you can try other acne scars remedies.

A lot of people swear by olive oil for making their acne scars less visible. In fact, there are any number of different oils that you can try. Simply massage the oil into the scar and the surrounding area, and let it sit. This helps to soften and moisturize the skin which can help diminish the visibility of acne scarring.

Tomatoes are high in Vitamin A which keeps the body from producing too much sebum, which is the substance that is largely responsible for acne to begin with. Tomatoes are also rich in antioxidants which are beneficial for repairing the skin.

One of the most soothing acne scars remedies is a mixture of rose water and sandalwood. Simply add a few drops of the rose water to the sandalwood until it is at a paste like consistency. Then put the resulting paste directly on the scars and let it sit for about an hour. This is generally very gentle on the skin, so you can even leave it on as you sleep.

You have to be more careful if you are currently experiencing an acne outbreak, as you shouldn't let any foreign material (such as any of the above ingredients we've talked about) get into the sores. Not only can it be irritating, but it can also make the acne worse. However, if you need immediate comfort, you may want to try an icepack to help cool and temporarily tighten the skin.  more >>

Humans should thank ancient Scottish fish fossils for joy of sex

LONDON - Scientists studying fossils have discovered that the intimate act of
sexual intercourse used by humans was pioneered by ancient armoured fishes, called
placoderms, about 385 million years ago in Scotland.

In an important discovery in the evolutionary history of sexual reproduction, the
scientists found that male fossils of the Microbrachius dicki, which belong to a placoderm
group, developed bony L-shaped genital limbs called claspers to transfer sperm to females.

Females, for their part, developed small paired bones to lock the male organs in
place for mating.

Placoderms are the earliest vertebrate ancestors of humans.

Placoderms were once thought to be a dead-end group with no live relatives, but
recent studies show that our own evolution is deeply rooted in placoderms and that many
of the features we have -- such as jaws, teeth and paired limbs -- first originated with this
group of fishes,  said John Long, a palaeontologist at Flinders University in South Australia
who led the research.

This new finding, he added, shows that "they gave us the intimate act of sexual
intercourse as well". Matt Friedman, a palaeobiologist from Britain's Oxford University who was not
involved in the research, described its findings as "nothing short of remarkable" and said
they suggested much more could be learned from the fossil fishes.

Long, whose study was published in the journal Nature on Sunday, discovered
the ancient fishes' mating abilities when he stumbled across a single fossil bone in the collections of the University of Technology in Tallinn, Estonia, last year.
The research then involved scientists from Australia, Estonia, Britain, Sweden,
and China, who analysed fossil specimens from museum collections across the world.

These demonstrate the first use of internal fertilisation and copulation as a
reproductive strategy known in the fossil record. Measuring about 8 centimetres (3 inches) in length, Microbrachius lived in ancient lake habitats in Scotland, as well as parts of Estonia and China.

Long explained that "Microbrachius" means little arms, but said scientists have
been baffled for centuries by what these bony paired arms were actually there for. "We've solved this great mystery," he said. "They were there for mating, so that the male could position his claspers into the female genital area."

In one of the more bizarre findings of the study, Long said the fishes probably
copulated from a sideways position with their bony jointed arms locked together -- making
them look more as if they were square dancing than having sex.  more >>

Maggie Smith receives royal honour from Queen Elizabeth

Veteran actress Maggie Smith was made a member of the Order of the

Companions of Honour by Queen Elizabeth.

The 79-year-old ‘Downton Abbey’ star was made a member of the Order of the

Companions of Honour, one of Britian’s highest honours, at a special ceremony at Windsor

Castle in Berkshire, England in recognition of her services to drama over the past six

decades, reported BBC online.

The actress joins an elite group of just 65 other Companions of Honour,

including Professor Stephen Hawking, Judi Dench and Ian McKellen, but the prestigious

accolade carries no title.

The ‘Harry Potter’ star enjoyed a private conversation with the Queen upon being

presented with her gold badge, but declined to speak after the ceremony.

The Order of the Companions of Honor — sometimes regarded as a junior class

of the Order of Merit — was instituted in 1917 by George V at the same time as the Order of

the British Empire was founded.

The two-time Oscar winner, who is currently filming ‘The Lady In The Van,’

received her formal Dame title, which is the highest honour bestowed upon a citizen of the

British Empire, in 1990.  more >>

sex tape - Sex and the selfie

It takes directorial ineptness on a monumental scale to screw up a sex comedy.
Particularly one that stars ‘Her Hotness’ Cameron Diaz. In the nude. But Jake Kasdan
contrives to do it, with an unfunny and unbelievably farcical film that’s guaranteed to put
you off sex and perhaps even comedy for a long time.

But then, the problem with *Sex Tape goes beyond the limitations of the director.
Its storyline itself reeks of over-the-top implausibility to the point where it becomes
abundantly clear that the screenplay writers (who include Jason Segel, the lead actor) saw
the plotline as a mere prop, a limp sex toy, to set up some extended sit-com silliness.

Which is a shame because the kernel of *Sex Tape has enough meat in it for a
sophisticated adult comedy yarn to be spun around it. The idea of a sexually jaded married
couple (with two kids) looking desperately to get their carnal juices flowing again has a
certain universal appeal to it. And even the decision of the protagonist couple Annie and
Jay (Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel) to rev things up by videotaping their enactment of
every acrobatic act in *The Joy of Sex manual isn’t entirely unauthentic. This is the sex-and-
the-selfie generation, after all, as the profusion of home video clips on pornographic sites
will testify.

But having set up that forgivable storyline contrivance, Kasdan loses the plot.
Very quickly, the storyline goes on a downward spiral of unsexy, unfunny farce as Annie
and Jay learn that the video has ether-eally slipped into the Cloud. And since Jay has a
habit of giving away synchronised, hand-me-down iPads (of which he seems to have
several, since he’s something in the music industry) to family and friends—and even the
neighbourhood milkman (yeah, right!)—their three-hour sex romp is now in the public
domain. The rest of the film revolves around Annie and Jay’s slapstick-y efforts to retrieve
the gifted iPads and demolish the servers of a porn site to which a young Blackmailer (don’t
even ask) has uploaded it—before their shame is revealed to the world.

If these scenes had been genuinely funny, one may have been more forgiving of
the uber-silliness and the sheer implausibility of it all. But all that *Sex Tape does is to
graphically capture the joylessness of a badly made sex comedy. And beyond a point, the
film’s shameless plugging of Apple merchandise grates.  more. >>

Tying the knot with her longtime beau Sahil Sangha, Dia Mirza has come a long

way after winning the Miss Asia Pacific title. Counted among the most beautiful actresses

in Bollywood, Dia Mirza may have taken a sabbatical from acting but she still rules the

hearts of her fans. The actress has now ventured into filmmaking with beau Sahil and is

now set to embark on a new chapter with him.

Sahil Sangha and Dia Mirza own a film production company called Born Free

Entertainment. The first production venture under their banner was Love Breakups Zindagi

in 2011 which was directed by Sahil himself. Vidya Balan-starrer Bobby Jasoos was their

Michael Jackson tops Forbes list of highest.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Five years after his death, singer Michael Jackson is

generating a fortune and is the top-earning dead celebrity, raking in an estimated $140

million in the past year for his estate, Forbes said on Wednesday.

He earned more than twice as much as singer Elvis Presley, who died in 1977 and

came in second with $55 million, and three times more than cartoonist and Peanuts comic

strip creator Charles Schulz, who took third place with $40 million.

"Few celebrities prove the point that there is (financial) life after death better than

Michael Jackson," according to Forbes.

It is Jackson's second straight year atop the list. He regained the title in 2013, a

year after being pushed into second place by actress Elizabeth Taylor.

Jackson's second album released after his death, "Xscape" debuted at No. 2 on

the pop charts in the past year and the singer also appeared as a hologram at the Billboard

Music Awards. Two Cirque du Soleil shows, "Immortal" and "One," account for much of

Jackson's earnings along with his music catalog and publishing empire.

Taylor, who died in 2011, came in at No. 4 with $25 million and reggae singer Bob

Marley completed the top five with $20 million in earnings in the year to October 2014.

Marley died of cancer at the age of 36 in 1981.

Singer John Lennon, the former Beatle who was gunned down in New York in

1980, was No. 7 with $12 million.

The 13 deceased celebrities included on Forbes list earned a total of $363.5 million.

Forbes compiled the list by talking to estate managers, lawyers and licensors and

analyzing estimated posthumous earnings between October 2013-14. more. >>
